Session Description:
Effective enterprise security can be a real challenge today for developers, system architects, and security specialists who design, deploy, and support mission-critical solutions. While recent industry advancements (especially in the areas of Web service standards and service-oriented architectures) are helping developers and architects more effectively meet their security objectives, these new capabilities are also contributing to an already complex set of protocols, tools, and architectures. Participants can expect to be briefed on defense in-depth strategies commonly utilized in the design and implementation of ArcGIS enterprise applications and systems. Desktop, Web application, and Web service standards-based strategies will be included with sample security controls as time permits.
